Well, there we were. Late as usual. Swampy and Priscilla had made the trek all the way from somewhere in Tennessee and the Happy Valley contingent promptly delayed their arrival for dramatic effect. A variety of things work-like kept Canis late, but the Gods of Parking Mojo smiled upon the HVH3 delivering a spot directly across the street from City Steam.... Or is that just the way it is in Hartford?
Priscilla brought up the idea of creating the HappyFarts hash house harriers and that the inagural hash should happen soon... like real soon.... within the next 10 minutes. (Um... note that a review of past hashes shows that the first HappyFarts hash was a ways back on November 30, 2001 as theHappyFarts BlueMoon Hash #1.)
Trail began at the bar and took off directly away to turn quickly right past the first post. This being a live hared trail with no lead time for the poor hare the pack was in quick... pursuit... or something close to it. "Catch me if you can.... or want..." No one wanted, so trail continued on a brief way until the post was cleared.... big post... nearly 5 feet square, big enough to hide Garfield AND Anti-cock... HUGE post. The hare shuffling along at this point fakes left, but turns right again seeing the end in the distance. The remains of the inagural pitcher on the bar where this trail had started. Picking up the pace now the pack nearly stumbles over one another to squeeze through the gap and Voila'! The Hash ends before the second hand could make a complete sweep. Efficient hashing.
A pitcher of fine barley pop previously procured by Garfield was downed quickly by all. Remember, there's no such thing as too short a trail and as long as there's beer and trail... a Hash hash been had...
So we'll call this an outstation hash for HappyValley and Hartford. HappyFarts #2
